Rumors had been leaking about speculations on the possible new features in Windows 8 for quite a while. Some of the speculations using Windows 8 are available from new screenshots, videos and builds appearing regular on the shows discussing and forecasting the new features of Windows 8.

One such new feature and specification will include the introduction of push notifications, which probably will look similar to the notifications lining up the Windows Phone 7.

As per the recent rumor, the latest build of Windows 8 with the build number 7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508, will contain a reference to a number of DLL files and points out the functionality for the next iteration in the widely used desktop operating system.

This feature will contain three features in one as Windows push notification apps, windows push notification core and windows push notification platform connection provider for the smooth functioning of Windows push notification system.
