Microsoft VP Hints To Expect Windows 8 By September 2012

17 June 2011 No Comment

Soon the glory of Windows 7 is going to fade away as Windows 8 being its successor, and the hopes are high on the forthcoming Windows 8 operating system. A small hint has slipped from the tongue of Lewin, Microsoft VP for Strategic and Emerging Business Development, in an event at Microsoft’s headquarters.

The conference that Lewin was talking about in which this is expected to release is the BUILD conference that is due in September 8th. Have you got the point now? That is a safer time and place to launch the Windows 8 Beta and that too in 2011 itself!

Lewin, furthermore seemed to have reported that they will take another six to ten months to go Gold and on completion of their manufacturing and testing cycle, the software will be all set and ready for 2012 Summer, and the OS will be all ready for release by Autumn 2012, which lies somewhere between September and November.

Well, what are going to be packed in Windows 8 are some of the features like action-based ribbon interface for Windows Explorer, updated Task Manager, Portable Workspace, and much more goodies on the Welcome screen which will all be a pleasant surprise.
